Consequences of Nonconformity Within this construct, men and women are tacitly aware of the consequences of not adhering to the cultural norm. A woman who decides to pursue a career, for example, might be considered uppity in traditional culture or be considered unfair or disrespectful to her husband if she doesnt take his last name. On the flip side, even in more progressive societies, men may be subject to disapproval for being the stay-at-home parent, while a woman may be described as old-fashioned or backward if she adheres to a more traditional housewife role. When subjected to societal disapproval, people will often feel pressured to alter their behavior or face rejection by those who disapprove of them. Gender Categories According to Berns theory, people fall into one of four different gender categories: Sex-typed individuals are those who identify with their gender and process information through the lens of that gender schema.Cross-typed individuals process information through the lens of the opposite gender.Androgynous individuals exhibit both masculine and feminine thinking.Undifferentiated individuals do not show consistent use of sex-typed processing. Rationale and Criticism In her writings, Bem believed that gender schemas were limiting for men, women, and society as a whole. Raising children free from these stereotypes and limitations, she believed, would lead to greater freedom and fewer restrictions of free will. Critics of Bems theory say that she portrayed individuals simply as passive bystanders in the development of gender schemas and ignored the complex forces that contribute to the construction of gender. Bem’s Sex-Role Inventory In addition to the gender schema theory, Bem created a questionnaire known as the Bem Sex-Role Inventory (BRSI). The inventory consists of 60 different words that are either masculine, feminine, or gender-neutral. When taking the test, respondents are asked to rate how strongly they identify with each characteristic. Rather than simply categorize people as masculine or feminine, the inventory presents both traits as part of a continuum. Individuals can rank high on one gender or low on another (sex-typed) or, alternately, rank high on both masculine and feminine traits (androgynous). This step includes out line proposals for structural and buildings services systems. The main concept is to review the procurement route. Design Development: This step includes structural and building services systems. This also gives updates on online specifications and cost-plan. In this step the application for getting the permission for detailed planning is done. Technical design: In this step the technical design and specifications are prepared which are sufficient to co-ordinate components and elements of the project and information for statutory standards and construction safety. Pre- construction: In this there are three steps Production Information: The production information has two steps, the first step involves in the preparation of detailed information for construction. Application for statutory approvals is done. The second step includes in the preparation of further information for construction required under the building contract. The review about the information is provided by specialists. Tender Documentation: To enable a tender or tenders to be obtained for the project the tender documentation has to be prepared in detailed. Tender action: This step involves in Identification and evaluation of potential contractors for the project. Obtaining and appraising tenders submission of recommendations to the client Construction: In these there are two steps Mobilisation: In these Mobilisation Letting the building contract, Appointing the contractor. Issuing the information to the contractor and arranging site hand over to the contractor. Construction to practical completion: The building contract is administered to practical completion. The provision to the contractor for the further information and where as when responsibilities are required. Review the information provided by the contractors and specialists. Use: Post Practical Completion: The administration of the building contractor after practical completion and making final inspections. Assisting building user during initial occupation period. Review of project performance in use. The Gate Way Process: This process was developed by the office of government commerce in the UK, and it was developed on the basis of well proven techniques. This is leads to more effective delivery of benefits in sense of outcomes and predictable costs. This is a review of government procurement project which was carried out by taking the decisions of experienced people as a team. These critical points are identified as gateways. The life cycle of the project has six gateways four before the contract is awarded and to more looking at service implementation and conformation operational benefits. The benefits which are supposed to be come under the process identified as follows: Availability of the best skills and experiences deployed on the project Understanding the status of the project and the stack holders issues carefully. Giving assurance that the project can progress to the next stage of development and implementation, with increased the expectations. Achievement of more realistic time and cost target for the projects. This process can prove to be very beneficial for single project or multiple projects management. Project management is nothing but the overall planning of the project from inspection and completion of the project in time aiming at the CTGs requirements. The process protocol: The process protocol is defined in ten distinct phases in which the design and construction process are mentioned. These ten phases are grouped into four stages namely: Pre-Project, Pre- Construction Construction and Post- construction Pre- Project Stage: Among the ten distinct phases of the process protocol the (0-3) phases comes under the pre- project stage. In this stage strategic business consideration of any potential project was done to fulfil the CTG project requirements. Applying the gateway process the alignment of process protocol is done which will be helpful in achieving higher benefits. In the pre à ¢Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬ project phases the CTG project requirements are defined and considered with the aim of: Determining the need for a construction project solution, and Securing outline financial authority to proceed to the pre-construction phases. This is the most important stage of a construction process when compared with the later stages. The knowledge possessed by the building developers and consultants could help the CTG project in the early stages. Value Of Money

Today people value many different things. What people value too much today is money. It has been said that money is the root of all evil, and that seems to be true more and more so each year. Some money is necessary to live, and to live comfortably making $100,000 a year, there is no one that needs more money than that to live. Too many people place too much value on money. People go to work for 8 hours a day, come home, and have to feed their families and pay bills, and they always complain about the lack of money. This is true to some extent, but it is not necessarly what they make that is hurting them, it is hat they are spending. People in general make decent money but they blow it all on fancy cars, or eating out, or not investing properly. If they valued saving money, or didn t value what extra comes with money, people would be in a better place both mentally and in financial standing. Every advertisement and every media presentation has people in America thinking they are not good enough. They need to look better, need to buy better clothes, they need to eat at a nicer restaurant, they need to make more money, and spend it on what is being advertised. The media plays a role much too large in our everyday life. They show the extreme sides of life, and very little in between. Everyone seems to get what they want, and that takes money. Take for example all the ciggeratte advertisements. Something as simple as a ciggeratte advertisement says a lot about ourselves. We value looking good, feeling good, all the time. That is not what life is about, life is about working hard and achieving, even if it is for personal gain. Once we achieve something, then we should save it, not waste it, but the media and advertisements encourage us to do just the opposite. Money isn t always the most important thing in life. There are other things more mportant, like personal health and general welfare. Sometimes people will do dangerous things that could cause them to be hurt, maimed, jailed, or even killed, and they do them anyway in order to get the money. Theives break into houses, risking their personal freedom, just to get a couple of hundreds of dollars worth of things to sell. Some people even risk their safety to get paid, like the people who volunteer for experimental drugs. They don t know what effect the drugs could have on them, but they want to get paid, so they try the treatment anyways, neverminding the harmful effects that could even kill them. If only the people realized that there are things in life more important than a few hundred dollars. They sometimes don t take into account that they could die of some allergic reaction or a heart attack but by then it is too late, they traded their life for a few hundred dollars. Not worth it. Money is something that we value too much. The media puts too much pressure on us to make money, people see that, and then they think higher of someone if they are rich. They may not be loved, but at least they are rich. This is not the smartest thing. We should take a step back from all the hype, and look and see what is really important. Is it the money? or is it what we go through, all the trials and work that we must pass in order to achieve the money? Everyday people wish they were rich, but they never take the proper steps to achieving wealth. They see the nice car and the big house, but they never see the personal sacrifices the people made to get where they are, like saving for a rainy day, spending wisely, living below ones means, and investing for the purpose of making more money later in life, rather than instant gratification now. When people learn these lessons, they may have a better appriciation for money and even for life.
